Server at a Four-Star Spa Resort

Old Edwards Inn and Spa, a four-star luxury resort in the mountains of Western North Carolina, is seeking a full-time professional Server. The successful Server candidate will be able to wow our guests with your knowledge of the menu and specials being offered, and with your amazing ability to appear at just the right times so as to provide quality service without being obtrusive. You’ll know how to gauge the mood and demeanor of the guest throughout the experience and tailor your service and communication style to accommodate it. You will know how to multi-task and understand the flow and rhythm of great service. Your personality will come through in your warm and genuine smile, and you will have the ability to maintain a demeanor of calm control—even in the busiest of times. Specific Responsibilities

• Greeting the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explaining any specials and/or restaurant promotions, while picking up on cues about the demeanor of each guest and tailoring your demeanor and service style accordingly
• Serving food and/or beverage, including guiding guests through the menu and taking the order; delivering food according to classic service standards; and appropriately timed clearing of food and beverage items
• Checking station before, during and after shifts for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Taking the order and inputting the order in the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieving the order from kitchen, confirming its accuracy and delivering it to guests using classic service standards
• Ascertaining guest satisfaction throughout the meal, and taking any necessary action steps based  on the feedback
• Abiding by all state and federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
