Full Time Bell Person at a Four-Star Spa Resort

Old Edwards Inn and Spa, a Four-Star luxury resort in the mountains of Western North Carolina, is seeking a full-time bell person. Our successful Bell Person candidate displays a demeanor of calm control throughout any situation—whether it is a guest with an immediate or unusual request, multiple check-ins or check-outs at one time, or any number of other spontaneous occurrences that happen in the hospitality business every day. Specific Responsibilities

  • Receive and ensuring correct delivery of guest's luggage to and from rooms, suites and cottages
  • Perform various errands related to guest needs, comfort, and satisfaction to ensure that they are blown away with the level of service they receive during their stay
  • Welcome and greet guests at the resort entrance, offer immediate assistance with heavy packages, coats, suitcases and other items, and then transfer, store and property handle guests' luggage
  • Become very familiar with all the resort offerings, and provide information to guests about the hotel facilities and services
  • Must be able to drive/park cars for guests' complimentary valet parking.
  • Proactively anticipate guest needs and offer friendly assistance in a timely manner, researching or involving others as needed until the need is successfully met

Requirements

Qualifications of the Successful Applicant

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience required; high-end hospitality service strongly recommended
  • Professional demeanor and ability to understand and speak English
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Ability to carry, push, or lift items weighing up to 100 pounds
